Stats: Online Video Ads Annoying
Respondents in a Burst Media survey recently reported that they decisively don’t like in-stream video ads, with a full 78% saying they find such ads to be intrusive.Even more alarming, about half of the people surveyed responded that in-stream ads disrupted their Web surfing experience, and 15.3% said they immediately leave websites that throw such ads at them.On a more positive note, viewership of online video content is up up up, for some video content

As reported by the Center for Media Research today, a study by the Horowitz Associates called ‘Broadband Content and Services 2007′ indicates that six out of ten people who use high speed Internet watch and/or download video content every week, while a whopping 86% do so monthly.This is a drastic change from the 2006 study, which showed 45% viewed online video content weekly, while 71% did so monthly.
